 END VAW-C NOW!

Violence against women and children is a serious public health concern, with costs at multiple levels of society. Although violence is a threat to everyone, women and children are particularly susceptible to victimization because they often have fewer rights or lack appropriate means of protection. In some societies certain types of violence are deemed socially or legally acceptable, thereby contributing further to the risk to women and children.

Image result for stop violence against children gif     Did you know that every 20 seconds someone becomes a victim of domestic violence? Violence against women is a major public health problem in our community and violation of women's human rights. Violence against women is a form of violence that is gender-based .Violence occurs because of their gender. BECAUSE THEY ARE WOMEN . Violence against women may take different forms. RAPE, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL HARASSMENT, STALKING, HUMAN TRAFFICKING, FORCED PROSTITUTION, STATE VIOLENCE, FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION. 1 in 3 women worldwide have experienced either physical and/or sexual violence in their lifetime as of World Health Organization(WHO). Most of this violence is intimate partner violence. Physical injuries are some of the more visible, and at times most deadly, consequences of gender-based violence(GBV). But the long term mental health consequences are often invisible and left untreated.

2 million of women are trafficked each year into prostitution and force slavery. Young women and girls are often particularly vulnerable to early marriage, female genital mutilation, and HIV putting their health and rights at risk. Now these women are our SISTERS, and our DAUGHTERS ,our GRANDMOTHERS, and our MOTHERS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE, AND IT MUST STOP NOW. Real men don't hit women. I call for all men to join me in standing up to Stop violence directed to women and girls. I am AJ Fieldad and im asking you:

"Care for the Earth and we reap it's Bounty"

NATURE IS FOR US,
             ARE WE FOR NATURE?

Image result for mother earth gif

We have one Earth… and we all share it. Many environmental challenges are global by nature, and can only be tackled through a comprehensive approach that works far beyond the borders of the Philippines and the rest of the world , like the issue of climate change. Environment Awareness Month came at the right time for as we all know Humanity has to figure out, including how to grapple amidst a lot of environmental problems.

Man had a good relationship with Mother Earth. But since humans developed cities and industries, the modern lifestyle has changed. Man has been using and misusing natural resources up to the limit. Now we are tearing up remote corners of the planet looking for crude oil and coal, and our forests and wild animals are disappearing. Our environment is totally polluted: we drink polluted water, inhale air full of dust, and eat food with traces of pesticides and other toxic chemicals. Hence we are suffering from diseases. As a result of human activities, the ozone layer has a hole, the sea is rising, and the ice caps of Antarctica and Greenland are melting. Now global warming is warming us that climate change and not a hoax and it is coming.

Mother Earth is in danger, life on Earth is in danger. Let us come together to save our life-giving
   and life-saving Mother Earth”

"CHILDREN:The Future We can Nourish"

"OUR FRUITS OF TOMORROW"

Image result for childrens month ph pic"
In the month of November, we are celebrating the National Children's Month with the theme "KARAPATANG PAMBATA: Patuloy na Pahalagaan at Gampanan Tungo sa Magnadang Kinabukasan". The ISNHS-SSG encourages everybody to speak up and exercise our right as a child.
In celebration of “National Children’s Month”, each child should be our most valued asset. It is heart-warming and fun to watch simple smiles that won't go away on their lips. For my dear Bigueńo Children to always be cheerful, be kind, respectful and loving.
The Department of Education (DepEd) enjoines schools, private and public elementary and secondary schools to undertake activities in line with the celebration of the 2019 National Children’s Month (NCM).  The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) lead the 27th National Children’s Month this November. This year’s event themed, "Karapatang Pambata: Patuloy na Pahalagahan at Gampanan tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan,”. This year aims to  intensify public awareness on the rights of children and remind all sectors to be responsible in raising filpino children and to promote children’s participation in nation-building.  This year of the NCM is made extra special as it coincides with the 30th Anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN CRC).  As said it is to commemorates the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child by the United Nations General Assembly on November 20, 1989.

There has never been a more important time to educate and empower the next generation with knowledge about their rights. Take note that children are not just simply children or numerous human being, but they are the world’s cure, they are the fruit of the future, and who knows that this little people of today would probably the heroes of tomorrow. That is why the act of simply depriving them of their rights is now shading little by little the bright future of our own world.

Filipino Values Month

"MAN OF VALUE"

We all have values by which we and our families try to live our lives by. These can include values such as honesty, trust, respect, kindness, perseverance, justice and so on. At Educate Together we have our 4 core principles and the objectives in the Learn Together curriculum. We use values to teach about this.
Image result for values month"November is Filipino Values Month wherein we asses our Core values and this Core values are the fundamental beliefs of a person. These are some of the array of Filipino values for which the Filipino people are known worldwide:

BAYANIHAN (Volunteerism)
 Damayan (Helping one another)
 Pagkamatapat (Loyalty)
Hiya (Loss of face and prestige)
Utang na loob (Debt of gratitude)
 Sariling sikap (Self-reliance)
Pakikisama (Comradeship)
Matulungin (Helpful)
Bukas ang Palad (Philanthropic)
Respect for elders by the use of Po and Opo when addressing them

These are some of the array of Filipino values for which the Filipino people are known worldwide.
Image result for values gif"Each month we look in depth at one and bring it into all we do. This way the children begin to think for themselves what they, their families, the school and their friends think is important. We find that discussing values helps children to realise that whilst we may all have different beliefs and different cultures or ways of life we actually share much in what we believe in.

By referring back to the values children can begin to think about how to behave and respond to the situations they come across in life. They are helped to understand what is important to their own family and to others. This way they will grow up able to understand and find the shared values with all people they come across.

Are there any faiths or cultures that do not value honesty, respect, friendship or kindness? By sharing and discussing these we realise that we have far more in common with each other than what separates us.

Celebrating Unity of all Nations

    ‘Only One Earth’

United Nations Celebration is being celebrated every year to commemorate the day when the United

Nations was created. It is also celebrated to honor all the work they have done to promote peace all over the world and keeping their relationship with other countries stronger.

Image result for un all flags gif"
The United Nations is an organization of sovereign nations not a world government. It provides the machinery to help find solutions to disputes or problems, and to deal with virtually any matter of concern to humanity. It does not legislate like a national parliament. But in the meeting rooms and corridors of the UN, representatives of almost all countries of the world large and small, rich and poor, with varying political views and social systems have a voice and vote in shaping the policies of the international community.

The United Nations has four goals: to maintain international

peace and security; develop the good relations of nations; work together to find solutions to global problems and to promote respect for human rights; and be the center of reconciliation of nations.

Second Quarter Reflection

        EXER999.HTML

In this Second Quarter learning with Ma’am Vera Cruz, we learned about creating our own Web Page Designs and Websites using Html tags. She taught us how to create web designs by inserting different tags like <html>, <head>,<body>,she even taught us that a tag will always have an end tag by adding “/” unless it is a stand-alone tag like <br> or break rule. So it was a little bit struggling because sometimes it fails to do so because some of the tags that we used in Notepad are lacking of <, /, or >, so it took us time to finish one Activity.  Of course there are problems that I encountered in this Quarter, it was hard  for us to manage our time because the month of September Is the Science Month Celebration. Since we belong to Science class, it is necessary for us to attend different activities of this Science Month and because of it, we have a hard time to make our activities, our draft blogs, quizzes but with all the pressure we had in this Quarter, we manage to finish it all and made our misses on time.

To sum it all up, the second grading period was  a lot of fun and I got to interact more with my classmates and I will apply what I have learned in my ICT subject on simple programming. I am looking forward to the next grading periods.

"A true teacher is one who, keeping the past alive, is also able to understand the present” -Confucius

Teachers are our mentors, friends, and catalysts. They’re the wild, eager sparks that can, with a word, set our passions ablaze. Not quite parents, they nevertheless raise us to be the very best versions of ourselves. And their impressions last lifetimes, as the lessons we’ve learned are passed down to others, like inheritances of wisdom.

A Teacher is someone who acts as a guide and inspiration to people – both young and old. He/she is charged with the responsibility of creating awareness as well as opening the mind of people by instilling values, morals, and ethics. Teachers efforts are recognized during the teacher’s day. They shape minds, and we annually celebrate their contribution to the development of society in the form of Teachers’ day across the world.

Teachers play an important role in the development of our country. This is why it is vital to set aside a day when the teachers are given the recognition they deserve. We celebrate Teachers’ day to honor the contribution of Teachers in our lives. Duties undertaken by teachers in the upbringing of children are immense and thus being recognized with teachers’ day is a step towards recognizing the profession and the role they play in society.
